Man Utd transfer blow as Southampton boss Ralph Hasenhuttl rules out selling Red Devils target James Ward-Prowse

RALPH HASENHUTTL has dealt Manchester United an enormous blow by saying Southampton midfielder James Ward-Prowse shouldn’t be on the market.

The Saints captain, 27, has been in terrific kind this season and Hasenhuttl believes he’s an “exceptional” participant.

United have been heavily linked with a move for the £75million-rated set-piece king prior to now few months with Newcastle and Tottenham are also said to be interested.

And Ward-Prowse’s contract scenario means Southampton can play hardball.

Hasenhuttl mentioned: “He has one other 4 years on his contract, he’s our captain and he’s comfortable right here.

“Followers love him and we all know how necessary he’s to our workforce. The event of his sport is why he’s a real winner.

“I think he’s very exceptional. I haven’t seen any players similar.”

United are out there for a midfielder having targeted Leeds’ Kalvin Phillips and Wolves ace Ruben Neves in addition to Ward-Prowse.

That could be a huge blow to United and incoming boss Erik ten Hag, who’s believed to be a fan of the England worldwide.

Ward-Prowse’s set-pieces could be a large benefit to any workforce that signed him.
