NPFL: Journalists Attacked and Beaten in Ibadan as South West Derby End In a Draw

The South West Derby was capped by harassment and assault on journalists on the stadium.

The sport had seen two objectives, one scored by Sikiru Alimi from the penalty spot for Remo Stars and the opposite by Emmanuel Fortunate by way of a header for Capturing Stars.

The chaos began when journalists had been executed with the publish match interviews and instructed by Capturing Stars followers to depart the stadium and finally slapped and beat multimedia journalist, Tobi Adepoju who was one of many journalists.

“The fans came pointing at him (Tobi) and asked him to leave the stadium, before we knew it he slapped him and other fans joined in and started beating him.”

“He (Tobi) had to run to where the police van was parked for safety.” He concluded.

In line with the journalist, all these acts had been earlier than the presence of the Capturing Stars administration together with the G.M, Dimeji Lawal who appeared away.

This was a repeat of the chaos that occurred in Ikenne within the reverse fixture when followers of each golf equipment attacked one another.
